Hervey Bay CBD Lacks Identity

There is much talk over time how to revitalise the elderly part of the Pialba business district. I privately believe there is one fundamental problem that needs addressing. We need to have a suburb called Hervey Bay City which incorporates the CBD area. At present the CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT lies within the suburban area, suburbia of Pialba & perimeter CBD in Uraween, therefore confusing many outsiders on where the CBD is. Additionally it is hard for businesses to brand themselves on a state, intrastate or international level when they write there address down as Pialba, this means little or nothing outside the region. The spot has spent millions of dollars branding metropolis as a destination, but there is no actual part of metropolis called Hervey Bay, we only legally have the Bay of Hervey Bay. Apple Stem Cell Skin Care

In the new age of technology it is extremely important to have a clear brand away in the industry place, because consumers are now doing almost all of their research via internet with search engines like yahoo such as Google. Someone seated in Sydney looking to conduct business in Hervey Gulf isn’t going to search for a suburb such as Pialba; they understand the brand name of Hervey Bay, just as they might type in Maryborough or Brisbane.

The concern goes way beyond normal branding, it gets shown in property magazines& websites that show property beliefs for all the several and surrounding suburbs in around the area, but there is no suburb of Hervey Clean. Many Weather maps may recognise our area, look at many of the state and national newspaper publishers; they bypass Hervey Clean in their maps, even though many towns with far smaller populations are shown. A number of the evening information weather maps do the same. Go to many search engines for travel, such as Google maps, RACQ, and the location of the location differs and you do not get a clear or regular location of where the CBD is. It does not exist beyond council’s town planning scheme.

As someone who works within the CBD will not a lot of commercial business state wide & interstate, it’s a source of frequent confusion and very difficult to get appropriate statistics to reflect CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT sales, populations, values and so forth It is also hard to describe to anyone interstate there is no CBD suburban area, suburbia and part of Pialba or Uraween covers the CBD.

I believe it would be a fantastic branding exercise for Hervey Bay to have a clear identity due to its Town Heart. Also with the new Fraser Coast Local Council it could promote two CBD centres. This kind of would be best for business to all come under a steady Brand.
